Good points: He's...well, Heero. Good looks, lovely voice, *charming* (yeah, right) personality.
Bad points: His lack of emotion. I mean, I think he HAS emotion, but sure as hell as a strange way of showing it... I mean, you just don't tell someone you love them with a punch in the stomach. O_o
Personality:
Heero, in short, is the stoic, mysterious type. You know, belonging to the Short-Dark-N-Handsome category. He was taught to fight and kill from a very tender age, and to be emotionless, which contributes to his obviously rock-like attitude toward everyone but a selected few. Yet at the same time, he was also told to follow his emotions (don't ask me how that works, I don't know).
But I like Heero. I think deep down he's a caring boy thrust in a cold, cruel world reeking of war and sorrow, and for all the "Omae o korosu"ness, really all he wants is a normal life where he can settle down and be happy. He doesn't want to be the star and hero of mankind, he doesn't want to be in the spotlight and under ten cameras 24/7. All he wants is to meld in with 'normal' humans, and maybe, just maybe, someone whom he can share his life with, someone he can turn to for anything and will have TIME for him. Love Affairs:
Uh-huh. Isn't it ironic that while there's next to no romance in GW, it's by far the biggest controversy in the fandom? Doing as much as splitting it and making both sides hate each other. It's my personal theory that it's BECAUSE there's hardly any romance that everyone's grappling at the little hints of it. So, let's take a look at the possible hook-ups we can tort--er, give Heero...
First comes Trowa, who worships Heero like a deity. Is it admiration? Unconditional love? Friendship? Support? I personally think it's all of the above. Yes, the second one too, but not as 'love-birds' (what about Quatre?); as brotherly love. Would they work? Well, they seem just a little too quiet for each other. I mean...

*cough* Yes, I know they both speak when they want to. But how often is that? Though other than the above, I don't see why not. There's admiration on both sides, and Trowa's not as tense as he often seems.
Let's see, who's next...Zechs! The gorgeous Lightning Count with hair almost as beautiful as Duo's. Much like Heero and Trowa, Heero and Zechs certainly seem to admire each other! Though unlike HT, they seem to have a major case of rivalry too...O_o
Duo? Er, I already rambled about Heero and Duo in two other sections, no need to say it again, ne?
Relena is Heero's 'female counterpart', so goes the unspoken rules of GW. She's the first person he meets on Earth and immediately starts following him around wherever he goes for no known reason ('obsession' comes to mind, as does 'infatuation'), whether it be a patio, a military base, a hospital, HIS ROOM, a school, across the world, into a heated battlefield, etc. etc. You know, for a while I was nuts about this pairing, reading all fics that I saw, flaming all 1x2 authors<--*shameshame, I know* But my views have changed so much in the past two years. I don't like it anymore. I think she's too intense for our already-too-intense Heero; Unless she gives up her position as Vice Foreign Minister, I don't see how she would have the time to spend with Heero that he needs; And c'mon, she's a princess promoting pacifism, he's a warrior, a mass-murderer according to Duo. Sure, he'll change, but what's the chance of him turning to pacifism after being pounded on like that through the most influencial years of his life? So no, I don't think they'd work. But many do, so if you like 1xR, I encourage you to keep doing so.
