Latest TBF News

01/20/03 - Well, as you can probably tell, this website has not been updated in quite some time. Unfortunately, there is no more Trial by Fire. A few of the band's songs may still be in rotation on some of Auburn's local stations, so keep listening for them. And if you still desperately want a Trial by Fire CD (for whatever reason), feel free to send an email to Kyle (nighmkm@auburn.edu) and he will be happy to get you one.

10/20/01 - The band has been idle for the past couple months due to schoolwork and the lack of a drummer and bassist. The two remaining members are still auditioning anybody interrested in filling these positions. You can email Kyle (nighmkm@auburn.edu) or Cole (harrij4@auburn.edu) for more info on auditions. In better news, some of the band's songs have been played on The Tiger 95.9 (www.wtgz.com) in Auburn. Some songs have also been in rotation on AU's local radio station, WEGL (wegl.auburn.edu). If you are in the Auburn area, give WEGL or The Tiger a call, and request some TBF.

08/14/01 - The band is moving down to Auburn, Alabama. Sadly, the band's drummer will be attending the University of Montevallo, and the band's bass player will be staying in Birmingham. The band will be auditioning new drummers and bass players while in Auburn. You can email Kyle (nighmkm@auburn.edu) or Cole (harrij4@auburn.edu) for more info on auditions.

08/12/01 - The band has announced a "farewell show" to be played at Mountain Top Community Church on Wednesday night, August 15. This will be the last show together before the band moves to Auburn. The band will play for half an hour during a youth service at the church at 6:15, and then they will play afterward.

07/24/01 - The band has just finished recording a 4 song demo at The Basement Studio. Recording engineer Matt Downs Recorded all 4 tracks, and loaned his PRS guitar to the band to use. The band would like to collectively thank Matt for putting so much time, effort, and equipment into making this demo.

07/12/01 - A new CD is in the making. It is a 12 track live CD from the band's recent performance at Riverchase United Methodist. More info on the Merchandise page.

07/12/01 - Members of the band have recently talked with Janice Rogers of Good Day Alabama on Fox 6. The band is in negotiations to play live on the morning show in the next couple weeks.

07/03/01 - The band just finished playing a party at Riverchase United Methodist. The band's primary audio engineer Matt Downs made a rough recording of some of the songs they played. Included are all the original songs written by the band.

06/24/01 - The band is entering for the last round of the local Rock 97.3 Battle of the Bands held monthly at the Five Points Music Hall. More updates to come....
