- Small, painful ulcer that appears on the tongue, the lips or the insides
of the cheek
- Begins as a red, ulcerated spot with a yellowish border. Then becomes
covered by a coagulated yellowish mixture of fluid, bacteria and white
blood cells
- Burning and tingling sensation

- Eat plenty of salad with onions
- Include in the diet yogurt and other soured products such as kefir,
cottage cheese and buttermilk
- Maintain a proper balance of minerals, acidity and alkalinity in the
body

- Avoid sugar, citrus fruits and processed and refined foods
- Avoid chewing gum, lozenges, tobacco, coffee, citrus fruits and any
other foods that will trigger these sores
- Do not eat fish or meat of 2 weeks. The consumption of animal protein
increase the body's acidity which slows healing
