Peace Maker Kurogane is about the story of a 15 year old boy(who's kinda short for his age), Tetsunosuke.
He wanted(desperately) to join the Shinsengumi
(a group of brave samurais that protects the peace of Kyoto, some time before the Meiji revolution)
because he wants to become stronger
so that he could have revenge on the person who killed his father n mother.
But once he's accepted, instead of getting a sword in the old fashion way,
he got to become the sub-commander, Hijikata's page.
well... this anime pretty much centers around Tetsunosuke and his days as a Shinsengumi member.
I think the main plot of this anime is the answer to question that has been on
Tetsunoke's mind since he joined the Shinsengumi.....
"Is he willing to become a demon and kill to get his revenge?"

a samurai anime. so... there's a lot of male characters in it.
I've only seen 3 girls in it, and one of them can't talk.
but I'm not complaining. too many girls would just hurt my eyes. :p
This is the anime version of the manga, Shinsengumi Imon PeaceMaker and PeaceMaker Kurogane.
they're really nice mangas I'm telling ya.
anyway... the opening song really rocks, and the opening is waaaaay cool. the ending is cute too.
the first episode started off really bloody, but I haven't seen much violence in it after that.
of course it's still there, it wouldn't be a samurai anime otherwise, but not that much.
and they also keep the fighting scenes short.... but very bloody.... which is kinda shoujo-ish.
not like those dragon-ball-type anime where the fighting scene against one enemy would last 5episodes :p.
but I swear, I think this anime is targeted at both sexes.
as for yaoi-ness, you can mis and match the boys as you please.
there's just so many boys to choose from. I personally love Hijikata x Okita.
