This famous Agatha Christie novel is about ten people selected to go to a mysterious hotel on a giant rock in the middle of the ocean…Indian Island. Though they do not know why they are there or who sent for them, each person realizes that the other nine are guilty of murder. One by one, they get picked off by a mysterious killer…a killer who is using a children’s nursery rhyme to decide his victims’ fates. In fact, the book was originally titled by the name of this rhyme-ten little Indians.
Review
Although I am not too big on mystery writers like Dame Christie or Mary Higgins Clark, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The suspense Agatha Christie builds is unparalleled my most of her contemporaries. This book is an excellent choice if you need to read a book quickly-it is short and gripping. I first read And Then There Were None in sixth grade, so you can imagine how high-level it is. Nonetheless, an excellent edge-of-your-seat suspense novel.
