Standard Point Buy: All Attributes start at 8. FIRST racial adjustments are factored in, and THEN the player has 25 additional points to spread across the six abilities using the following schedule.

Note for any ability score that due to racial adjustments starts below 8, requires an investment of 1 pt to raise the ability score for each factor until one reaches 8, then progress proceeds normally as above. So to move from a "7" to an "8" costs 1 pt. A "6" to an "8" costs 2 pts. Moving a "5" to an "8" would require 3 pts. Ability scores can NOT be raised above 18 in the character generation stage.


Zhentarim races:

Racial Attribute adjustements

Racial bonus feats,skills and powers.

Zhentarim humans are 5'-6' tall and have a base move of 30'. Zhentarim humans are +2 charisma with respect to humans of the Imperium and +1 charisma with respect to evil humans in general. This adjustment is made to one's current charisma score. They otherwise correspond to player handbook humans. Automatic languages: Thorass (Common), Tharish (goblinoid)

Zhentarim Hobgoblins are 5'-6' tall and have a base move of 30', Darkvision up to 60'. They are the product of human/goblin matings. They gain a racial hit point adjustemnt of +1/hd. They gain a bonus feat of alertness and the bonus skill ranks of hide +1, listen +3, move silently +3 and spot +3. Automatic Languages: Thorass (Common), Tharish (goblinoid) Bonus Languages: Draconic, Jotunspek, Gnollish, Tanar'rijiki (Abyssal). Zhentarim Hobgoblins are +2 charisma with respect to other hobgoblins, +1 to other goblinoids. This adjustment is made to one's current charisma score.

Zhentarim Goblins are 3-4' tall and have a base move of 30', Darkvision up to 60'. They gain the bonus feats of alertness , Lightning reflex and agile and the bonus skill ranks of hide +6, listen +3, move silently +4 and spot +3 Automatic Languages: Thorass (Common), Tharish (goblinoid) Bonus Languages: Draconic, Jotunspek, Gnollish, Tanar'rijiki (Abyssal).Zhentarim goblins are +2 charisma with respect to other goblins, +1 to other goblinoids. This adjustment is made to one's current charisma score.

Zhentarim Bugbears are 7' tall and begin at first level with a racial hit point bonus of +8 and a racial bonus of +1 on all subsequent hit dice. They have a base move of 30' and Darkvision up to 60'. They get the bonus feat of alertness, and the bonus skill ranks of climb +2, hide +3, move silently +6 and spot +3. Automatic Languages: Thorass (Common), Tharish (goblinoid) Bonus Languages: Draconic, Jotunspek, Gnollish, Tanar'rijiki (Abyssal). Zhentarim bugbears are +2 charisma with respect to other bugbears, +1 to other goblinoids. This adjustment is made to one's current charisma score.

Zhentarim Ogres are 9' tall and begin at first level with a racial hit point bonus of +15 and a racial bonus of +3 on all subsequent hit dice. They have a base move of 30' and Darkvision up to 60'. They get the bonus feat of weapon focus (great club), and the bonus skill ranks of climb +4, listen +2, and spot +2. Automatic Languages: Thorass (Common), Tharish (goblinoid) Bonus Languages: Jotunspek, Gnollish. Zhentarim ogres are +2 charisma with respect to other ogres, +1 to other goblinoids. This adjustment is made to one's current charisma score.

Goblinoid tieflings are 3'-7' tall have a base move of 30', Darkvision up to 60'. They gain the bonus feats of alertness and weapon finesse and the bonus skill ranks of bluff +1, hide +3, move silently +2, pick pocket +3 and listen +3. They gain a racial hit point adjustment of +4/hd. Spell-like Abilities: The tiefling's outsider blood gives it one innate spell-like ability taken from the following list: blur, change self, charm person, chill touch, darkness, desecrate, death knell, detect thoughts, doom, ghoul touch, hideous laughter,fly, mirror image, ray of enfeeblement, summon swarm, or ventriloquism. It can use this special ability once per day, with a caster level equal to their hit dice. Additionally they gain three qualities from the following list: damage resistance 5/+1, natural armor +1, acid resistance 5, cold resistance 5, fire resistance 5. The natural armor bonus and resistances can stack with each other on creation. Automatic Languages: Thorass (Common), Tharish (goblinoid) Bonus Languages: Draconic, Jotunspek, Gnollish, Tanar'rijiki (Abyssal). Goblinoid Tieflings are +2 charisma with respect to other goblinoid tieflings, +1 charisma against other demonspawn and demon kind in general. This adjustment is made to one's current charisma score.
