*giggles* Are you sure you want to know? I just found the list in my old logbook. The thing is, it only has the list of possible pairs/main focus characters and a phrase I used to describe the story. ^^; This was made, oh, around 2-3 years ago, so I probably junked some of them.
Bayushi Shoju & Kakita Yoshi
*snickers* Obviously a favorite object of speculation. Why? Hm, I don't know, they were natural rivals, and rivals often overshadowed the love they had for each other?
[start drabble]
Shoju stood by the window, looking out at the road leading from Otosan-Uchi. He was there for what seemed an age, as Kachiko watched him watch the departing Crane entourage.
When the Crane was sufficiently far away she stepped forward her husband, caressing his mask of battered silver. She gently pulled it off, to find his face awash with tears. "Tears...for a Crane?"
Shoju didn't look at her as he replied, gently, "You've cried them yourself, Kachiko."
She drew away, stung. He waited for her outburst. There was none. Without a word Kachiko turned and left the room, leaving him alone.
Shoju didn't even spare her a glance when she stormed out. He was sunk in a void as he waited for the Cranes to turn back, to return to the capital for any reason at all.
He waited for Yoshi to come back to him.

The best friends who like each other but didn't know until it was too late.
Doji Hoturi & Kakita Yoshi
Repression. Hoturi shouldn't, for obvious reasons, and Yoshi couldn't, because he's in love with someone else. Not that Hoturi didn't make a few overtures *coughs* even with Kachiko and Ameiko around. *coughs* Purest speculation, mind you.
Bayushi Dozan & Kakita Yoshi
Dozan starts to spy on Yoshi on Shoju's orders, but started to have feelings for the Crane. Why Dozan? He was a big mean fighting machine? ^^; No, really.
Note: all of the pairs above were supposed to be worked on Silken Ties, an AU(!) for the Scorpion Clan Coup. I have a summary finished, but after reading the Scorpion Clan War novel I decided to stop doing it for a bit, to practice on other things (like Tomo & Tsuke!).

Words listed beside this pair: Master/Slave. Apparently I had thoughts that the False Toturi might be involved, or something. Definitely or something. Er...next pair! Next pair!

This actually exists as "Fire and Ice" and it was also going to be mentioned in "Silken Ties".

*shudders* It's an obsession in Toshiken's part. "In Memory of the Past" was just the first part of a discontinued trilogy. Don't ask who the other person with a Yoshi!fanboy complex is. It's too complicated, and I will die a horrible, fiery death from court shugenja. Oops!
Kakita Toshimoko & Dairya
A joke because Dairya kept chasing after Toshimoko in all his incarnations. But we ended up with a plot, which, well, even involved Dairya's crackling skull. Jodan! Jodan!

Sprouted out of a conversation in a bus ride to a tourney. Tishi was the random Scorpion we paired with Nagori. I like it because when I think of it it has a touch of innocence to the fic, not like some ideas I've had. *grumbles*

This was suggested by a male Crane player. What's with guys and lesbians? O_o; I never did follow through with this because it's frankly disturbing.
Yogo Shidachi and Asahina Uojin
This held true until I learned Uojin might be female. We changed Uojin to Kakita Torikago by some whimsy (oh, yeah...April Lee art—). This will be "Broken Mask" the moment I finish it.
Daidoji Uji & Hida Yakamo
Er...big black clanking machines, anyone? O_o; This is one of those nearly canon-ish pairings, because Uji keeps showing up with Yakamo, you know, and he's Crane and it really isn't - the thing to be seen in Crab lands when you're Crane (understatement!) - so I guess he has Yakamo's protection? ^_^;;;
Trivia: Rekai inherited the big black clanking machine from Uji! Yay!
