Title: Hooke’s Law Lab

Purpose:  To construct a mathematical and graphical model that describes the realtionship between force & displacement of a spring.

Appratus:
 


 

Procedure:
 Collision Cart (1)
 Spring, small (1)
 Spring, large (1)
 Kg weights (20g-70g)
 Hanger {5kg} (1)
 
 Parameter(Spring) Indepedent Variable (Mass on hanger) Depedent Variable (Displacement of Cart)
 1. Connect the small spring to the cart
 2. Place mass on the hanger.
 3. Measure displacement of cart.
 4. Calculate force of gravity.
 5. Increase mass by 10g and repeat steps 2-5 until 75g is reached.
 6. Repeat steps 2-5 with the larger spring.
