Woody's Diablo
Asylum
Immortal Heroes!

There are only two play
restrictions:
(1) If the character dies, that’s IT! That
character gets deleted. Start a new character (although I usually
reuse the name, good names are hard to come up with).
(2) The game is played straight through (not
necessarily at one sitting). No restarts or new games to redo levels
to gain experience or equipment. In single mode the game is saved at
the end of one session and restarted at the same point at the
beginning of the next. n multi mode, the game is exited when level 4,
8, 12, or 16 is finished and a new game is started by going down to
the next level (or to level 1 of the next difficulty after finishing
level 16).
Warrior: He has
devoted his life to the study of arms. He scorns the use of a ranged
weapon as being cowardly. Never had the opportunity or interest to
learn magic, but can heal himself and others as a result of years of
experience in receiving some of the carnage he deals. (Town Portal I
consider a utility spell – it’s not necessary, but who wants to waste
a bunch of game time walking up stairs? Identify can go either way,
if you prefer, limit identify to Cain).
- Spells (From scrolls only): Town portal,
identify, healing, heal other
- Armor: All
- Helms: All
- Shields: All
- Weapons: All except bows and staffs
Rogue: An expert
with the bow, she also specializes in some of the talents of a thief.
She has had limited training in the arts which enable her to move
rapidly (teleport), avoid or disarm traps (telekinesis), and spy on
her opponents (infravision). Much like the warrior, her experiences
have taught her some healing arts. The need to move rapidly limits
the armor she can wear, and the need for clear vision to aim her bow
limits her headgear.
- Spells (From scrolls or books): Town portal,
identify, healing, heal other, telekinesis, teleport,
infravision
- Armor: No type of plate
- Helms: Cap, skull cap, crown
- Shields: Buckler
- Weapons: Dagger, short sword, club, all
bows
Mage: His years of
intense mental preparation has left him little time to develop
physical fighting skills and the strength required for them. Any type
of magic, he can master. His total dependence on magic is both his
strength and his weakness.
- Spells (From scrolls, books, or staffs):
All
- Armor: Rags, cape, cloak, robe
- Helms: Cap, skull cap, crown
- Shields: None
- Weapons: Dagger, club, all staffs
Note: As far as
unique items are concerned, let the above lists and comments be your
guide.
