The Pirate is a spin-off of a Thief, but plays somewhat differently. He only uses stuff that he would be able to use on a ship, so no heavy armor is allowed.

Character: Warrior

Weapons: Swords, anything weaker than a Claymore. Blunts, Club and Spiked Club. No bows. No axes. Staffs, Any.

Shields: Buckler and Small Shield.

Armor: Can use any armor that is not plate.

Helms: All, but you must use a Crown when you find one.

Optional rule: You can use the first enchanted crown you find even if it's illegal. If it is illegal, you must replace it with the first legal crown you find.

Learnable Magic: Phasing, Teleport, Telekinesis, Town Portal.

Scrolls: Any.

Illegal spells: Mana Shield, Reflect

-of Thieves doesn't allow plate for Pirates.

The enchantments below are the same as the Thief's (except for Bow suffixes of course)... So if you have the Thief printed out, there's no real need to print this out. All you really need to know is that Pirates can use sharp staves but no bows, as well as no plate (cept Naj's).

Enchantment Rules: If an item has a Primary enchantment, you can use it. If it doesn't, but it has only Secondary enchantments, you can use it.

Obsidian isn't shiny enough.

Secondary Prefixes: Strong, Grand, Bronze, Iron, Weird, Strange, Jagged, Heavy, Massive, Sharp, Fine.

The Uniques are the same, but you can't use the Scavenger's Carapace, and you CAN use Naj's Light Plate.
