Ever wondered how tall the girl in that pic was with high heels taken into account, or how tall you or someone else would be in comparison? Then this page is for you! :)
To use the heightulator, find an image of a tall person somewhere, and open the heightulator page. You'll need a browser that supports Javascript 1.1 at least (recent versions of Netscape or IE should do). In the 'Your height' bit, enter your height, or that of the person you want to compare with the person in the image. Use the checkboxes on the left to use cm, or feet and inches.
In the 'Height of person on Image without heels' bit, type in the height of the person on the image, not counting heels. Use cm or feet and inches as before.
In the final bit, you need to enter a few vertical coordinates. Open the image with an image editor (Paint Shop Pro is good, as it shows you the coordinates as you move your mouse over the image).
Type in the vertical coordinate of the top of the person's head, the top of their heels, and the bottom of their heels.
Obviously, for this to work, the person in the image needs to be standing (not sitting down :)
It doesn't matter much if one foot's higher than the other in the image, just make sure you use the same foot for the top and bottom heel coordinates.
Finally, just click the 'Go!' button. The program should then tell you the height of the person in the image, as well as he vertical coordinate of the top of your head if you or the other person was also in the image and standing next to her.
Easy :)
