Red Box
For JUST the Red Box you will need the following Supplies:
- Tone Dialer from Radio Shack (43-146)
- A 6.5xxx Mhz Crystal
- Soldering Iron
- 3 AAA Batteries

Now when you have all this do the following:
1) Pop open the Tone Dialer.
2) Locate the LED at the top left, break it off.
3) Locate the Chip (Crystal) that says R359M on it, Desolder it.
That is the Crystal that generates regular Phone tones.
4) Solder in the new 6.5xxx Crystal (Can be purchased here) where the old one was.
5) Put the Box back together, and play around with it in amazement ;).
Read on for directions on programming it.

Now if you want to have a Tone Dialer + Red Box you will need the following Supplies:
- Tone Dialer from Radio Shack (43-146)
- A 6.5xxx Mhz Crystal
- Soldering Iron
- 3 AAA Batteries
- 2 Position Switch (275-407)
- 2 5" pieces of wire (less than 20 gauge)

If you already have those from the first set of instructions, then you dont need 2 of anything. Now when you have all that do the following:
1) Pop open the Tone Dialer.
2) Locate the LED at the top left, break it off.
3) Locate the Chip (Crystal) that says R359M on it, then desolder it.
4) Now soder in the 2 new 5" wires in place of the old crystal.
5) Now run the 2 wires out of one of the vents of the back of the box.
6) Solder the wires to the middle 2 metal pins of the switch.
7) Solder the old Crystal to the 2 bottom pins of the switch.
8) Now pull out that brand spankin new 6.5xxx Crystal (Can be purchased here) and solder it in the other 2 pins left.
9) Now all you have to do is mount the switch on the box somewhere.
I recommend putting super glue all over the back of the switch and use the super glue to mount the switch. ALL DONE!

Now to Program it do the following:
1) Switch it to Store
2) For a Nickle push the following: MEMORY * MEMORY P1.
3) For a Dime push the following: MEMORY * * MEMORY P2.
4) For a Quarter puh the following: MEMORY * * * * * MEMORY P3.
Now P1 = Nickle, P2 = Dime, and P3 = Quarter.
