Dendrobium anosmum     Lindl.

Distribution

Widespread in S. E. Asia: Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia. Several varieties exist with slight variation in flower colour and size.

Description

Stem 60-120cm long, pendulous, divided into many nodes. Inflorescence formed at nodes, often on leafless stems, bearing one or two flowers each. Flowers 5-10cm wide, depending on varieties. The name anosmum is a misnomer as the flower produces a faint, raspberry-like fragrance.
