A. What happens when a person comes to Christ? They come from a life that has been completely ruled by the sin nature. a. We are dead to the sin nature, but the sin nature is not dead to us. b. The cross is the means of our redemption; Christ is the source of our redemption. The believing sinner is instantly a new creature (at the moment of conversion). At the moment of conversion, the divine nature becomes a part of the Christian's life. (2 Peter 1:4)

B. The unsaved person has two natures: 1) human nature, 2) sin nature.
C. Sin should not reign over (control) your mortal body.
D. Our victory is in what we believe Jesus did for us on the cross - not in what we do or do not do.
E. The saved person has 3 natures: 1) Human, 2) Sin 3) Divine
