This Troop has successfully guided 48 boys toward's Scouting's highest
achievement, Eagle Scout.
We meet every Friday evening from 7:15 pm to 9:30 at the United Methodist Church Gym located at Nelson Ave. & Old Country Rd. in Hicksville NY.
The troop has an overnight trip once a month and attends summer camp for 2 weeks
every year.
We camp, canoe, hike, white water raft, and ski just to name a few of our trips. All adults have jobs in the troop that range from scoutmaster to committee member while the boys run the troop activities.
If you are 11 years old -or- if you are 10½ and have completed the 5th grade, you may apply in person with a parent at any scout meeting, or e-mail Scoutmaster.
Parents participate by meeting as the troop committee on the first Friday of each month to support the troop, to assist the leaders, to provide help with the outings, and to raise funds for the troop. We realize that you may have a busy schedule, but we need your help and the minimal two hours a month spent at committee meetings to improve your son's growth, is well worth the effort. |
