An Innocent Star
When you call me
its like a church bell ringing
off in the distance, beckoning.
Your not all that far
to making my heart feel
the peace that lies in a star.

As I see all that you do,
I want all the more,
I want to be near.

Your going away
for a few days.
Taking me with you,
I can't find a thing to do.
Its like the hue of your smile,
and all the while I am missing you.

As I see all that you do,
I want all the more,
I want to be near.

The loss of innocence,
I know, makes no sense.
In your heart is what matters.
At times we are torn,
another time in tatters;
its okay to mourn

As I see all that you do,
I want all the more,
I want to be near.

The Artwork to the right is how
the original one looked, I modified
it to look as you see in the background.

Question: Can you find the heart, in my
version, that is opening up? : )
