Loves Blues

It's silly to think, I think,
that I can compete,
or ever consider it,
with the love of a child
and its mother's smile

Maybe in a while…I'll try
I don't want to just kiss her goodbye
All the while I may wish
that there was room
for me to be first, at least
The bubble will only burst...soon
A mother and her nest

The children running around
I see a carnival across the street
no little ones making a sound
It's not open yet
Don't even think about it

The roller coaster has empty seats
Like my life…
It's rolling up and down
Climbing up the steep incline,
and so full of strife
Anyone see a clown
What did I tell you,
It's not open yet
As I feel a growing frown
have we ever met
Ah! oh!…I'm going downnnnn
