The Night Before
The night before Christmas eve
the snow started to fall.
In my mind, I couldn't believe it,
I was all done shopping at the mall.
As this silent white blanket
covered all the bare places,
on the driveway and the front yard
Including the deep spaces
Of my heart

As I think of all of you
on this now Christmas eve.
The snow has now been washed away
by the rain, as I thought you wouldn't leave.
I read in the newspaper the other day
about the depression that some of us get,
during this time of giving.
Maybe I should call that hotline, yet,
it's of you that I am missing.

Its not so much that our life
is sometimes riddled with pain.
Its not so much as the strife,
but the friendships that we gain.
I see that your not at your keyboard
the chat rooms are running on empty
The ICQ messages have not roared
barely a soul on-line, oh that's me
at these times I usually do,
yes, most assuredly, I miss you
All

Merry Christmas

Christmas Morning
Artist: Maxfield Parrish
He is probably my most favorite artist.  He somehow managed to enable us to expereince a dream world, but also real life, and all at the same moment. This is the stuff our soul yearns for.
