Wine & Roses
When I look at a flower I see more than its color I see the petals aura I see the bee and the nectar As the flower blossoms into The aroma of you
This flower may not be eternal As I write in my journal The nectar spreads in the wind So in many ways it ascends Continuously, it is forever And to which I endeavor Of my life with you
At times a petal falls With it my heart recalls Why it beats for you There is not much you can do I suppose to not change As you are not strange Nor would I want you to be
The wine, although I can taste its glow It touches parts familiar Yet often each one isn't similar Bitter or sweet With you I am complete
I love you
