Our studio is a computer based digital system equipped with the latest recording software and hardware.
Hardware:
The nerve-center of our studio is an Aardvark Direct Pro Q10, providing 8 balanced mic-preamps.
We use professional grade microphones by Audix, Rode, and Shure.
Our hardware is driven by a P3 based computer system with audio dedicated harddrives.
Our monitoring is done by a pair of Audix monitors and classic "Nova 40" headphones.
Software:
The main recording program we use is "Vegas" by Sonic Foundry, allowing unlimited playback and overdubbing tracks.
The Q10's control panel has all the faders that a mixing board would have, only on a computer screen.
We have many onboard sound enhancement effects such as reverb, chorus, Eq, phaser, distortions, delay/echo, noise gate, compression, etc.
Once a final mix is made, we master the finished product in "Sound Forge" by Sonic Foundry.
If needed we also have Fruity Loops and Cakewalk Pro Audio 9, for sound effects and enhancement.
Instruments:
If needed, drummers may use our Ludwig Maple Classic drum-set (no cymbals) on sessions.
It is not necessary to bring a bass-amp to recording sessions. We use onboard guitar pre-amps for bass that give a better overall sound versus Mic-ing a bass-amp.
All other equipment that you normally use, you should bring to the sessions.
