Andrew had a happy life
He was happy with what he had
He had a house, and his beautiful wife
and he couldn't ask for more.

Andrew's beautiful wife, Jenna,
was a beautiful as can be
She could hear and she could see
but Jenna couldn't talk.

Instead she spoke with her hands
And Andrew always understood
Jenna and Andrew were happy together
And everyone knew why.

One night, in the summer, when the two were asleep
Andrew awoke with a start
He sat straight up in bed right away
And cold sweat ran down his face.

He looked over at his sleeping wife
and heaved an accomplished sigh
Andrew then looked up to the ceiling
shouting curses to his nightmare.

Jenna woke up to her husbands shouting
And she too, sat up in bed
Loked over at her troubled spouse
Whose head was in his hands.

Jenna wrapped her arms around him
Causing him to look up
She made the signs to say 'What is wrong?'
Smiling all the way.

"Nothing, my love," was his reply
"Just a little nightmare,"
Jenna put her hands on Andrew's cheeks
and kissed his sweaty forehead.

She then said with her hands
"Don't let it get to you."
She kissed her husband once again
And released him from her embrace.

"Women like you are on in a billion."
Was the next thing Andrew said.
He put his arms around her
and kissed her baby-soft shoulders.

Jenna asked him to tell her his dream
And she would try and interpret
So Andrew told her of his nightmare
Then waited for her reply.

"What are you hiding from me?" Jenna said through signs
"Something is not right."
Jenna knew that something was wrong
and was determined to know what it was.

Andrew knew that he was caught
His wife was much too smart
He heaved a tired, heavy sigh
And gave her his reply.

"I'm going off to fight again.
I've been challenged to a duel.
By that nasty jerk named Quinley
And I might not come back."

Jenna's face went soft after that
and Andrew knew she was upset.
He struggled to show no emotion
As soft tears rolled down Jenna's cheeks.

Jenna's muted crying melted Andrew's heart
And he tried desperately to comfort her
He kissed her shoulders and rubbed her back
Trying hard not to cry himself.

Andrew managed to convince her into resting again
He consoled her til she slept.
Then he too went down to sleep
Clutching Jenna's hand.

Well guess who came round the very next day
None other than Garret Quinley
To summon Andrew to their duel
And to Andrew's last second.

Andrew convinced Jenna that love would help him win
And he'd return to her later that night.
Jenna hoped what he said was true
And let him leave the house.

All day Jenna sat waiting
Waiting for Andrew to return.
Nighttime came, and Jenna retired
And Andrew has not returned.

Jenna knew her husband was gone
And he existed only in her heart.
She cried herself to sleep that night
Silent tears on her pillow.
A poem written at Gage Park
The wind in my hair
The water up my nose
The fire in my head
The Earth beneath my feet
All is well...

A Silly Poem
I like to dance
In big baggy pants

I wear a hat
When I feel fat

When I get hot
My brain will rot

I cast a spell

'Cuz I don't feel well

I read a book
In my cramped little nook

I write a song
That's 10 lines too long

Haiku
Kissed by a Raindrop
You fall and give life
And so I grin as I am
Kissed by a Raindrop
Bird
The bird in the sky
She flies so careless and free
I wish I were her...
I Watch
You glide so softly
Over my head every day
In return, I watch...
Windy
You play with my hair
You cool the warm breeze
You mischievous wind...
Sunshine
I need desperately
To feel your soothing embrace
Though I can't see you
Weird Emotion
What is this feeling?
I feel content, yet angry.
What is it I feel?
Love
We are together.
Our hearts brightly shine as one.
I love you so much...
