| Prince Philippe was born on April 15, 1960, eldest child of (the then) Prince Albert and Princess Paola of Liege. Since he is heir to the throne, he also holds the title Duke of Brabant. He attended college Saint-Michel in Brussels, Abdijschool van Zevenkerken in Sint-Andries-Brugge, Royal Military Academy, trained as a pilot and paratrooper, and Trinity College as well as Stanford University. On December 4, 1999, Prince Philippe married the lovely Mathilde d'Udekem d'Acoz in Brussels. They have a daughter together named Princess Elisabeth. |
