Five - Don't Wanna Let You Go
March is a busy month for Five, with their first ever UK tour, another fab and funky hit and a nomination for the new Brit category of 'Best British Pop Act'. They're taking to the stage at the awards, in one of the famous Brits collaborations, for an explosive rendition of 'We Will Rock You', with original Queen members, Brian May and Roger Taylor. Sounds like a winning formula!

Savage Garden - Crash & Burn
Australia's biggest pop exports since Kylie and Jason are set to crash and burn straight into the charts with this blinding new single. They've already kicked Christina Aguilera off the top spot in the USA and will undoubtedly leave many more behind in their smoke trail when they release in the UK.

Madonna - American Pie
Is this really the worst single Madonna has ever released? It does seem a wee bit odd that the queen of cool would choose to cover this very uncool 70's epic. Producer pal William Orbit adds a bit of technical savvy to give it a Millennium feel and it's got top five hit stamped all over it, but it's no way near as good as 'Beautiful Stranger'. Sorry Madge!

Christina Aguilera - What A Girl Wants
Hot on Britney's tail, the diminutive Ms Aguilera follows up her huge hit 'Genie in a Bottle' with a saucy soul number. But, contrary to what the title suggests, she doesn't give away too many clues about what she really wants. She can be assured, however, that she'll get what she wants when the single flies into the top end of the charts.

N' Sync - Bye, Bye, Bye
After a long and drawn out court case the boys say 'bye, bye, bye' to their old record label and say 'hello, hello, hello' to a funkier sound. Fired by their new found freedom, the guys are in fighting spirit and hungry for success in 2000. They definitely deserve it.

Honeyz - Won't Take It Lying Down
All those slow and sultry ballads had us well and truly fooled. There we were thinking that the Honeyz were sweet and innocent girlies, then they come at us with an upbeat and sassy tune that shouts out, 'Don't fool around boys or you're dead meat!'. Be afraid, these girls mean business.

Backstreet Boys - Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely
Well, to be honest we don't really want to know what it's like being on your tod all the time. But, hey, if the Backstreet Boys are happy with it, then so are we. This is one of the best ballads from the boys since 'I Want It That Way', and deserves to net them a huge hit.

Aqua - Cartoon Heroes
Famed for singing about Barbie dolls, the madcap quartet are chartward-bound once again with a wacky homage to Looney Toons. Okay it's cheesy, but for all their cheesiness, this proves that they can write brilliant pop songs and have a great laugh at the same time. If it wasn't for Aqua brightening up the charts, we'd all be a pretty miserable bunch don't ya think?

Christina Aguilera - What A Girl Wants
Hot on Britney's tail, the diminutive Ms Aguilera follows up her huge hit 'Genie in a Bottle' with a saucy soul number. But, contrary to what the title suggests, she doesn't give away too many clues about what she really wants. She can be assured, however, that she'll get what she wants when the single flies into the top end of the charts.

All Saints - Pure Shores
Marking a fine return to form for the girls after their break, this spine-tingling single swiftly reminds us who are the sassiest girls on the block. Shaznay and Mel take the lead vocals, joined by William Orbit working his wizardry on the production buttons, conjuring up balmy images of pure white sands, crystal blue waters and Leonardo di Caprio in shorts. Bliss!

Eiffel 65 - Move Your Body
Look out! Here comes more brain washing euro pop from the men behind last summer's smash 'Blue (Da Ba Dee)'. They have the uncanny knack of being able to string together irritating and repetative vocals with cheesy techno beats and synthesisers and still come up with infectious dancefloor fillers at the end.
