The new issues mark the massive transition of Royal Mail to self-adhesive machins. Although nowadays self-adhesive stamps are widely issued all over the world, Great Britain has released only a few trial issues since 1993. It is likely that all British definitives will be issued as self-adhesives this year, with the possible exception of the recess-printed high values.
