The two new definitive stamps featuring portraits of Queen Margrethe II are the ninth and tenth stamp in this portrait series, which we launched 12 April 2000 with eight values to mark Queen Margrethe's 60th birthday. This portrait definitive series is the fifth in the series of portraits since Queen Margrethe II became Queen of Denmark in 1972.
Since prices changed on 2 January 2001, the DKK 6.00 stamp is used for domestic letters weighing from 50-100 grams. The DKK 7.00 stamp is used for letters weighing 20-50 grams to the Faroe Islands, the Nordic countries and Greenland.
