Hongkong Post revealed on Oct. 14 the "2002 Definitive Stamps" featuring
Hong Kong's unique charm of its vibrant mix of contrasts and cultures.
All the stamps capture the essence of this dynamic City of Life by highlighting
the many contrasts in the daily lives. The series is the second set of
definitive stamps issued by Honkong Post since the establishment of the
HKSAR on 1 July 1997. The stamps are:
10c: Radar/ Luopan
20c: Calculator/ Abacus
50c: Incense Coil/ Stained Glass
$1: Chair/ Luohan Bed
$1.40 : Dim Sum/ Bakery
$1.80: Fork and Knife/ Chopsticks and Spoon
$1.90: Canned Drinks/ Tea Caddies
$2: Wedding Cakes |
$2.40: Erhu/ Violin
$2.50: Letterbox / the Internet
$3: Sailing Boat/ Dragon Boat
$5: Tiled Roof/ Glass Wall
$10: Ballet/ Chinese Opera
$13: Chess/ Xiangqi
$20: Christmas Lighting/ Lanterns
$50: Sculptures |
All the stamps are available in sheet of 50, and three values $1.40, $2.40
and $3 are available in booklet of 10 (HK$14, HK$24 and $30), four values
$1.40, $1.80, $2.40 and $3 also available in coils. Two special souvenir
sheet are issued same time respectively for 12 low values and 4 high values.
