Self-Adhesive "A" Stamp
Self-adhesive stamps are now popular all over the world, including Switzerland,
that's why Swiss Post reissued on May 9 the Priority "A" stamp in self-adhesive
version. The Priority "A" stamp is first launched in 1995, in an abstract
design suggesting the positive principle of the communication made possible
by the Post.
The new self-adhesive stamp was presented in format of booklet of 12
and coil of 100. For the convenience credit-card format, the size of the
actual stamps and the way they are printed, the booklets contain 12 stamps,
instead of the usually 10. The coil of 100, contained in a white lightweight
cardboard box, is the first time of Swiss Post to issue self-adhesive stamp
in coil form. The last 8-10 stamps of each coil are marked with red marks
on the back to indicate the end of the coil.
