Tourism - Hiking and Sport
Swiss Post added on Nov. 21 two more values to its Tourism definitive series, the 2.00CHF Hiking and 3.00CHF Sport.

2.00CHF Hiking

Nowadays, more people hike in their leisure time. Basiclly, one can walk anywhere - through meadows and forests and over hill and dale. Taking time out to enjoy nature with all its different facets, breathing in the pure, clean air, enjoying the silence, appreciating the modest little flowers by the wayside and watching the wind-rippled grass as well as timid deer and playful marmots is all part of hiking. On stamp, image shows the scenery of the Grimsel region and also footwares, a vital wares for hiking as safety has top priority in the mountains.

3.00CHF Sport

Bicycles are now popular for leisure purposes. Some bickers take it easy and enjoy the scenery, while others are more adventurous, tackling the most challenging descents or teetering their way up narrow mountain paths. Mountain bikes can conquer all kinds of terrain. Riders are easy to watch the stream meander down the valley and under the bridge or enjoy the wonderful acenery. The modest little church by the roadside, next to the old stone bridge, as show in the left of the stamp, is an ideal spot for a break. Here, in the Ticino village of Biasca, time seems to stand still, transporting visitors to a different world, far from the hectic pace of modern life.
