In line with the change on June 30, 2002, the new rate change flag
definitives were revealed on June 7th.
The flag stamps, bearing similar design of the "United We Stand" definitive
of 2001, come out in 19 formats of nondenominated and denominated 37c.
The stamps incorporated microprinting, tiny letters into the design
of a stamp to thwart counterfeiters in several formats: water-actived panes
of 100 (micro-word "USA"), self-stick panes of 20 (micro-word "USA") self-stick
convertible panes of 20 (micro-word "USPS") for nondenominated, and self-stick
panes of 20 (micro-word "USA"), self-stick convertible panes of 20 (micro-word
"USPS") for denominated 37c stamp.
