Durandal is the Chief of the Cetanu (Death God) clan of Predators. A master hunter and tracker both he and his brother, Chavande, were the sole survivors of a Blooding ritual on an alien infested planet. Earning their status as 'Blooded' warriors the two hunted together for several years.
Durandal was later supported by his brother Chavande when he challenged the Cetanu clan chief and won. Being the new clan cheif, Durandal has full control over the way his clan operates in this galaxy. He also commands his own fleet of clan battleships, ships that dwarfs most battlecruisers, the Guan-thwei (Nightblood) is his captial ship.
When his ship was attacked by RD's fleet and he was captured and sent to Shaiya's Citadel, his brother Chavande commanded a fleet of fighters to go and rescue him. Meeting up with the Warriors along the way only made Chavande's search easier.
With the help of Clarissa and Stryder Chavande was able to breakout of his cell and escape the Citadel. After being reunited with his brother at the Citadel the two of them took off with their clan, presumably to continue their hunting across the galaxy...
