Rembrandt | ||||||||||||||||||
What's it like? | ||||||||||||||||||
Without a doubt, the Rembrandt is a landmark in the Gay Village. Since it's birth back in the mists of time as the Ogden Arms, the Rembrandt has seen many changes over the years, not least itself. Now the Rem is a two floor, continental-feel bar with no attitude. It tends to be mainly men, attracting a nightly audience of leather, skinhead, rubber and the like. Usually open until 1am most nights.
Where is it? | ||||||||||||||||||
If you are on Canal Street, half way along you can't miss the Rembrandt. Many of the clientele spill outside onto the street on clear warm nights.
Rating? | ||||||||||||||||||
They've kept with the times but kept an eye on the past...and always have the busiest of nights in the village. Brilliant. |
