Learning from history is like planning ahead. We  have choices every day to make history happen or to do nothing and let other people's choices happen to us.

Someone once said that the only thing we learn from history is that we don't learn from history.  History does repeat itself if we don't learn from it, but God is alive!  He doesn't have to do the same old things over and over and neither do we.

HIS STORY OF THE WORLD is an overview of world history for children.   It's not trying to prove anything, just tell a story.  You are encouraged to research any part of the story and the Internet is a good place to start.

As you read this book, I hope you see that people in the days of Noah were not much different from people today, and people in China are a lot like people in America or Africa. We all love, hate, laugh, cry, eat, sleep, live, and die pretty much the same, and we all have our stories.

There are almost as many stories about the beginning as there are people groups in the world.  His Story of the World will consider only two: "The Story of Evolution" and "The Story of Creation."

Most stories about the beginning have their roots in one of these ideas: either God made everything with an awesome purpose in mind, or everything just happened for no reason at all.

Since there were no written languages in the beginning, and neither story can be proven by science, it's all a matter of faith.  We choose what we believe, whether we know it or not, and what we believe affects the way we live, now and forever, amen.
