Hey all! Cousin April here again! (Yes it is me. And yes, this is 
a new addy. Moved to California.) 
 
Totally non-beta read. You have been warned! 
 
This didn't end up the way I originally planned it too. I was going 
to have this be a Nick&NatPack story, but the characters took 
over and had other ideas. 
 
Nick&NatPackers and Knighties beware!!

The Wilder The Ride, The Better

Natalie pulled on Nick's arm. "Come on you big baby." 
 
"But Nat..." Nick whined. 
 
"Nick, we are here to have fun. You are going to have fun if it kills you. 
Wait, it couldn't kill you, could it? OK, you are going to have fun. That is 
an order from your doctor." Natalie replied as she pulled him toward 
the lights. 
 
"Why a carnival?" Nick asked. 
 
"Because we're too far from Disney World." She replied. "Oooo! That 
looks like a good ride!" She said as she pointed to what looked like a 
giant loop. 
 
"Can't we go on that?" Nick pointed to a carousel. 
 
"That's for after the food." Natalie replied as she gave some tickets 
to the teen running her ride, which was called 'The Loop of Death'. 
 
"Tickets sir?" The teen said in a bored voice. 
 
"I think I'll sit this one out." Nick replied. 
 
"Oh no you don't! You are going on this ride!" Natalie gave the teen 
some more tickets and dragged Nick onto the ride. 
 
"Nick held on for dear life, well un-life, as the ride started. 
 
"All Right!!" Natalie screamed. 
 
"My dear Dr. Lambert, what are you doing here?" a male voice asked 
from behind Nick and Natalie. 
 
"LaCroix?!?" Nick exclaimed. 
 
"Well, hello Nicholas." LaCroix replied. 
 
"LaCroix, what are..." Nick was cut off as the ride turned upside down. 
"AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" 
 
"Oh quit being a baby! This is great!" Nat said. 
 
"I want off!!" Nick screamed. 
 
"Hey dude, chill out! This ride is bodacious!" a teenager said from 
across the ride. 
 
Nick started to snarl. "Oww!" He was stopped by a sharp kick in the shin 
from Natalie. 
 
"Behave yourself!" She hissed at him. 
 
"Yes Nicholas. Do what the good doctor orders." LaCroix added. 
 
Nick suffered in silence for the rest of the ride. Well, semi-silence anyway. 
He did whimper. 
 
When the ride was over, Nick staggered off and waited for Natalie. 
 
"Now _that_ was fun." he heard her say. 
 
"Yes, it was rather thrilling." That voice chilled Nick to the bone. He rushed 
back to see Natalie and LaCroix walking toward yet another death defying 
ride. 
 
"LaCroix! Leave her alone!" Nick ground out. 
 
"If that is the doctor's wish?" LaCroix asked Natalie with an upraised 
eyebrow. 
 
"No, it is not." Natalie glared at Nick. "You are obviously in one of your a 
ngsty moods not going to have fun tonight Nick. Why don't you go home?" 
 
Nick stood dumbfounded as LaCroix offered his arm to Natalie. "Shall 
we Dr. Lambert?" 
 
"Call me Natalie." Natalie said as she took LaCroix's arm. 
 
Nick just stared with his mouth open as Natalie and LaCroix walked off arm 
in arm, discussing the finer points of roller coasters around the world.
