Futurama - Bender Should Not Be Allowed on TV

Bender Cubert wants to have a birthday celebrating the day when he scraped from a growth on the Professor's back, but no-one turns up except Tinny Tim. Watching 'All My Circuits' on TV, Bender decides to go and audition for the role of Antonio, Calculon's son, as the original actor has broken. He is far to old and a terrible actor, but he systematically boos every single candidate until Calculon is forced to hire him. His character is put in a coma, but he gets up and dances around smoking and drinking. He is almost fired, but the network executives come in and demand that he be kept, as he is edgy and has a catchphrase. He takes over the show by drinking, smoking and violence, and Dwight and Cubert love him, immediately emulating his antics. Hermes and the Professor set a Bender protest group, Fathers Against Rude Television. Trying to be cool, Cubert, Dwight and Tinny Tim decide to steal things from Bender. They are successful and are immediately popular, inviting everyone round for a party. Hermes and the Professor walk in on them and are suspicious on discovering that they are cool. Bender discovers that they stole his stuff and is immediately against himself. Him and F.A.R.T. march to Hollywood and threaten the shows producers. The president of the network walks in, and forces Bender to a scene at gunpoint, as the Professor does the same to stop him. He takes their guns and makes an empassioned speech on air about how people should take TV less seriously and turn it off once in a while. The PE crew agree wholeheartedly, and continue to watch TV even though there's nothing on.

Quotes:

Voice-over: Previously on All My Circuits...
Antonio: I'm sorry father but, somewhere along the way, I forgot how to be your son.
Calculon: Why, Antonio?
Antonio: Because...I have amnesia!
(Flash forward. Monique is in bed with boxy. Calculon walks in.)
Monique: Calculon?! But I thought you were -
Calculon: Egyptian?!

Dwight: This party pukes.
Cubert: Yeah! The guests were supposed to be here three hours ago.
Farnsworth: Well that doesn't mean that no one is coming and that you two are total losers. What gave you that idea?

Casting Director: Have you ever been on TV before?
Bender: Once, when I took those hostages.
Calculon: I saw that! You were good. Let's hear you audition.
Bender: Banditos eh? Aw this is great! 'Cause I happen to have a flawless Spanish accent. (reading) I will say adios Padre! Come Jee-zus my faithful ...chi-hooa-hooa. Tonight we eat ...guacamowl by the El Rio!
Calculon: That was so bad I think you gave me cancer!

Calculon: I'm not familiar with the kind of thing I'm seeing.

Network President: Greetings gentlemen, you already know my Execubots. Executive Alpha, programmed to like things that are seen before.
Exec Alpha: Hey hey hey.
Network President: Executive Beta, programmed to roll dice to determine the fall schedule.
Exec Beta: (rolls dice) More reality shows.
Network President: And Executive Gamma, programmed to underestimate middle America.
Exec Gamma: It's funny, but is it going to get them off their tractors?

Cubert: Hey Dad, bite my shiny metal ass!
Farnsworth: What? Such an act would be most uncomfortable for both of us!

Leela: As unclean as it makes me feel, I agree with Bender. Kids don't turn rotten just from watching TV.
Fry: Yeah, give a little credit to our public schools.

Dwight: So, should we turn it off now?
Farnsworth: Well, uh, that depends what's on.
Fry: Nothing good.
Farnsworth: Ah, let's just keep watching.
