The crew throw the professor a surprise 150th birthday party at Mars University, where he
realises that he's not long for this world. He decides to name an heir, and disappears
into his lab. He emerges later, having made himself a clone, Cubert. He wants Cubert to
follow in his footsteps, but Cubert finds his inventions ridiculous and wants to do
something else. Despairing, the professor admits that he's actually 160, not 150. When
people turn 160 they are taken to a mysterious planet, the Near Death Star. The crew go
to the planet, with Fry posing as the professor in order to rescue him. The old people
are being kept in a fantasy world in the Matrix style. They find the Professor's
chamber and save him. Due to a bump on the head escaping the near death star, Cubert wants to be an inventor.
