Fry is still trying to learn to play the holophoner, but his 'stupid fingers' can't keep
up with how he feels. He makes a fool of himself at a recital, and when it becomes
apparent that Leela loves a creative man, he goes to Robot Hell to strike a deal with the
Robot Devil. He agrees to switch his hands with a robot's at random, which turns out by
chance to be Beelzebot himself, much to his horror. Fry makes great use of the hands and
quickly becomes a world famous holophoner player as the Robot Devil begs for his hands
back. HedonismBot asks Fry to write an opera for him, and he elects to write it about
Leela. Beelzebot, meanwhile, offers Bender a deal: switching his crotchplate to be
annoying, achieved by a horn on his nose, which he swiftly uses to deafen Leela as the
Devil had planned. On the night of the opera, Leela doesn't tell Fry what has happened
and watches it, a story of her life. During the intermission, she makes a deal with the
devil, agreeing to give him her hand for some robot ears. In the second part, the Devil
is infuriated by his rendition of their deal and jumps on to the stage, carrying the
opera into real life as he argues with Fry. Leela admits everything to Fry, and the Devil
reveals that the contract says she will give him her hand - in marriage. Fry lets the
Devil take his hands instead, and he can no longer play the opera well. Everyone leaves
the auditorium, but Leela stays behind, as she wants to see how it ends. Fry plays a
crudely drawn image of him and Leela walking together off into the sunset.

Beelzebot: Hello, Fry. Muahahahaha! Just dropped by to make sure you're as happy with our little deal as I am... oh, give me back my hands! These things are always touching me in ...places. Fry: Heheheh, yeah, they get around.
Leela: I've been a fool. A fully justified, prudent fool. (touches Fry's hands) Aaah! They're so cold! Beelzebot: (off screen) And yet hell is so hot! Ahhahahahah! Can I have my hands back now? Fry: No! Beelzebot: (off screen) You're not nice!
(Leela has gone deaf) Beelzebot: Ah, how delightfully ironic. Bender: That's not ironic, it's just mean. Take this! (Blasts him weakly with his horn.) Beelzebot: Oooh, out of aerosol. Also ironic. Bender: Oh, yeah? Well bite my shiny metal (realises he has no crotchplate) OOOH NOOOO!!
Beelzebot: Your lyrics lack subtlety. You can't just have characters announce how they feel. That makes me feel angry!
Leela: Please don't stop playing Fry. I wanna hear how it ends.
