How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back

Morgan Proctor As Hermes prepares for a checkup by the central bureaucracy, Leela invites round some old friends from the cryogenics lab for a poker night. It transpires that Bender is using X-Ray specs, and they beat him up in Hermes' office, ruining it just before the inspection. Hermes threatens to jump of the PE building, but the threat of posthumous demoting gets him down. He is sent on paid vacation - the ultimate punishment - and Zoidberg recommends a place called Spa 5. A new bureaucrat is assigned to PE, one Morgan Proctor. She makes life misery for the crew, but finds Fry's messiness attractive, and they have an affair. She promotes him. Bender walks in on them in Fry's apartment, and Morgan downloads Bender's brain and sends it to the central bureaucracy. Fry tells his friends everything and they set off to get it back. Hermes, meanwhile, is on Spa 5, which turns out to be a slave labour camp. He suggests some improvements. The crew navigate through the central bureaucracy and find the central filing room, which is filled with millions of tubes. They must sort the master 'in' pile, and Hermes, who recently allowed all the labour at Spa 5 to be done by one Australian man, takes on the task, and is given four minutes to do it. He sings a song as he sorts, and does it, but he finishes early and is demoted. Morgan, however, is still the PE bureaucrat, but Hermes reveals that she stamped a form incorrectly when she was younger, which gets her fired. Everyone gets their jobs back at severely reduced pay.

Quotes:

Hermes: I gotta go home and relax the traditional, Jamaican way. A glass of warm milk and a good night's sleep.
Fry: Jamaican? I thought you were some kind of outer space potato man.

Zoidberg: I recommend the health club on Spa 5, the sauna planet. Here, read.
LaBarbara: Spa 5? Is it good?
Zoidberg: Oh, it's wonderful! I don't know anything about it, but they give me a bucket of krill for every patient I send.

Morgan: Why isn't this jacket in alphabetical order? The zipper, it should be at the bottom.

Morgan: Why is there yoghurt in this cap?
Fry: I can explain! You see, it used to be milk, and, well, time makes fools of us all.

Professor: You can't just waltz into the Central Beaurocracy! It's a tangled web of red tape and regulations. I've never been, but a friend of mine went completely mad just trying to find the washroom there.
Leela: We'll need a guide, someone who's been there before.
Professor: Oh, I've been there before. Lots of times. (He laughs insanely)

Bureaucrat 1.0: You are technically correct. The best kind of correct.
