Leela and Bender go on a mission without Fry, and he feels dejected and unimportant. That
night, Leela is going on a date with the mayor's aide and asks Fry to take Nibbler for a
walk. She meets him in a bar on her date, which is going very well, as she is impressed
by the aide's power, which makes Fry feel even less important. He tells Nibbler that at
least he is important to him, and Nibbler talks to him, telling him that he is indeed
very important. He knocks him unconcious and takes him to the Nibblonian planet. A group
of elders tell him that he is the most important person in the world because, as he is
his own grandfather, he lacks the delta brainwave, making him immune to brain aliens. The
brain aliens are trying to collect all the information in the universe, then destroy it
to prevent new information arising. Fry must infiltrate the brains' database (on a Scooty
Puff Jr.) and plant a bomb that will suck it into another dimension. The database tells
him that Nibbler actually planned and caused his freezing in 1999, and he is very upset.
The Scooty Puff Jr. braks, and Fry goes into the dimension. The brains allow him to back
in time to 1999. He catches Nibbler, but, as the fate of the universe depends on it, and
he wants to save Leela, he makes himself get frozen, and tells Nibbler that Scooty Puff
Jr. sucks before he disappears. Back in the future, Fry escapes the bomb on his scooty
puff Sr. and Nibbler wipes his memory. At Planet Express, Leela's date has gone badly, and she destroys a picture of them together. She realises how much Fry means to her and they kiss.
