Silver Dollar Dinners (serves 12)
head of cabbage
6 carrots (sliced)
6 large potatoes (sliced)
3 onions (sliced)
salt and pepper
1 can cream soup (Mushroom, Celery, Chicken, etc)
3 lbs hamburger- made into patties

Line a piece of foil with a couple leaves of cabbage.  Put ingredients for each person ontop of the cabbage.  Season.  Wrap individual packets and put them in the embers.  Cook 10-20 minutes.  Turn when half of cooking time has past.
Hint: Put all the packets in the fire with fold up, when packets are turned over, you will be able to tell which ones have been turned.  Also, mark the packets if your working with a large group.

Campfire Sandwiches (serves 12)
12 oz chipped beef or other meat
12 slices cheese
12 hamburger buns

Place chipped beef and slice of cheese on a bun.  Wrap in foil and place on the coals until cheese is melted.

Camper's Franks & Potatoes (serves 4-5)
10 small russet baking potatoes
salt and pepper
2 onions, cut into 5 slices each
10 hotdogs

Wash potatoes and cut in half.  Make a hole in the center of each piece with an apple corer.  Season with salt and pepper.  Cut onion into slices.  Slide each hot dog through a piece of potato.  Remove the centers from the onions.  Slip hot dog through an onion slice, then through another piece of potato.  Wrap in aluminum foil.  Place in hot coals and roast for about 1 hour, turning frequently.

Baked Apples (serves 10)
10 apples
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup nuts
1 stick butter or margarine
10 marshmallows
dates and coconut
cinnamon

Core and fill apple with brown sugar, raisins, nuts, dates, coconut, cinnamon, etc.  Hole may be plugged with butter.  Wrap in foil and bake on coals.  When tender, toast a marshmallow and put it on top of the whole or sliced apple.

Apple Delight (serves 1)
For each serving:
Wrap in greased foil square:
     1 chopped apple (large pieces)
     1 Tbs. biscuit mix
     1 tsp. sugar
     cinnamon and/or raisins

Seal tightly and cook in coals, turning frequently for 10-20 minutes.

Banana Boats (serves 1)
banana
mini marshmallows
chocolate chips

Cut a slit in the banana and pull apart, gently (not so much that the entire banana comes apart, just enough to fit ingredients inside banana).  Place marshmallows and chocolate chips inside the slit.  Cover with foil and place on the coals for about 10-20 minutes or until chocolate and marshmallow is melted.
