Materials: swimming pool (optional)
Activity: We usually play this game in the swimming pool (hence the name: sharks and minnows) however, it can be adapted to play on land as well. All the girls, except IT stand at one side of the pool. When the game starts, they try to swim to the other side without being captured by the "shark". If they do get captured, then they become sharks as well. Continue until everyone has been turned into a shark. In order to make it easier for the minnows, we say that the sharks can only tag a minnow when they have a part of their body out of the water. |
