******2002****** Cadettes 1st Place: Troop 190 Dirt in Worms 1 box vanilla instant pudding 3 cups milk 1.5 bag crushed oreos 4 gummy worms per serving Prepare pudding as directions say. Layer oreos and pudding. Decorate with gummy worms and whole oreos. 2nd Place: Troop 183 Apple Pudding (8-10 servings) 1 cup sugar 1 cup flour 1/2 cup margarine 1 tsp baking soda 1 egg 1 tsp cinnamon (cream ingredients together) 1/2 tsp salt (mix ingredients well) Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture. Add three cups chopped apples. Mix well and pack firmly into 8 inch square pan or dutch oven. Bake at approximately 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. May be served with caramel sauce. Also good with ice cream. Troop 210/202 Apple Boat 4 apple slices a dash of cinnamon a dash of sugar and brown sugar a dash of bisquick a little butter Put in tinfoil and put on fire for a while until squishy and take off and enjoy. 3rd Place: Troop 534 Teddy Bear Camp-out and Cherry Ice Cream Teddy Bear Camp out: Bake cake in dutch oven over fire. Cool and frost cake. Decorate it to look like a camping scene using air heads, teddy grams, chocolate raisins, spearmint leaves, sprinkles, peanuts, pretzel sticks. Cherry Ice Cream: Mix 6 cans of cherry 7-up with 1 to 2 cans condensed milk. Put in a small coffee can. Put small can in larger can. Fill around cans with ice and rock salt. Roll can back and forth. It takes 1/2 to 1 hour to freeze. Other Recipes: Troop 185 Fruit Goop 2 16oz cans of fruit coctail 1 20pz can of pineapple chunks 1 pkg of instant vanilla pudding Add all ingrediants together (including juice) in a plastic container. Mix well and let sit until ready. Troop 562 Black Forest Cake Place one large can of cherry pie filling in a dutch oven. Mix one box of chocolate cake mix as directed and pour over cherries. Cover and place on the coals. Serve with cool whip on top. Troop 98 Fruit Salad (6-7 servings) 2 large cans fruit coctail 1 can strawberries (drained) 1 small can pineapple chunks 2 bananas (chopped up) 1 large pkg instant vanilla pudding Mix all together in bowl or for easy clean up, mix in large ziplock bag and squeeze. Optional ingredients: large apple (chopped), small can mandarin oranges (drained), mini marshmallows. Troop 513 Mud and Worms Take on box of instant chocolate pudding. Follow the directions on the box. Pour into a cup and crumble chocolate sandwich cookies over it. Pour another layer of pudding. Put gummi worms on the top. serve. Troop 579 Chocolate Gourmet Pie 1 pkg (17.5 oz) peanut butter cookie mix 1 carton (12 oz) softened cream cheese 1.75cups cold milk 1 pkg (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding 1 (8 oz) frozen whipped topping 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips Prepare cookie mix. Press into greased 12 inch pie pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Mix cream cheese until smooth. Spread over crust. Beat milk and pudding mix, spread. Refrigerate 20 minutes. Top with whipped topping and chocolate chips. Seniors 1st Place: Troop 190 S'more Cheesecake 2 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs 1/3 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter, melted Filling: 2 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1 (14 ox) can sweetened condensed milk 2 tsp. vanilla extract 3 eggs 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 cup mini marshmallows Topping: 1 cup mini marshmallows 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 tbsp. shortening Combine the cracker crumbs and sugar. Stir in the butter and then press into the bottom and sides of a greased 10 inch spring form pan. Set aside. Combine the cream cheese, milk, and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Add eggs and mix until combined. Stir in the chips and marshmallows. Pour over crust. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 40-45 minutes or until the center is almost set. Sprinkle with the marshmallows and bake 5 minutes longer or until the marshmallows are puffed. Meanwhile, melt the chips and shortening together until smooth. drizzle over themarshmallows. Let cool then run a knife along the edges to loosen. Continue to let cool for 1 hour and then refrigerate. 2nd Place: Troop 88 It Feels Like There's a Party In My Mouth and Everyone's Invited 1 choc. cake mix 1 cup mini choc. chips 1 jar (12 1/4 oz.) hot fudge ice cream topping, warmed 1 jar (12 3/4 oz.) caramel ice cream topping 1 (8 oz) carton of cool whip 1/2 cup English toffee bits Prepare cake according to package directions. Stir in 3/4 cup chocolate cihps. Pour batter into greased 9 X 13 cake pan. Bake 350 for 35-40 minutes. Immediately poke holes in cake and spread on hot fudge and caramel topping. Cool cake completely. Frost with cool whip. Sprinkle with toffee bits and remaining chocolate chips. Store in refrigerator. 3rd Place: Troop 359 I want s'more brownies! Brownie mix marshmallows chocolate (hershey bar or chocolate chips) graham crackers walnuts Mix brownies and let cool. Melt marshmallows and spread on brownies. Melt chocolate and pour over marshmallows. Crush graham crackers and walnuts and drop on brownies. Other Recipes: Troop 196 American Flag Cheesecake (10-12 servings) Crust: 1 cup graham cracker crumbs 3 tbsp sugar 3 tbsp Parkay margarine, melted Filling: 3 (8oz) pkgs Philadelphia Brand cream cheese, softened 3/4 cup sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp vanilla Topping: 1 (21oz) can cherry pie filling Combine crumbs, sugar and margarine, press onto bottom of 9in spring form pan. Bake in box oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in vanilla, pour over crust. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 250 degrees and continue baking 25 to 30 minutes or until set. Loosen cake from rim of pan, cool before removing rim of pan. Chill. top with pie filling just before serving. Troop 660 Cheesecake a la Orange (15 servings) Cream together 2 (8 oz) pkgs of cream chees, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tbsp vanilla, 2 eggs. Fill orange 1/2 to 2/3 full. Bake in orange shell in campfire coals for 15-20 minutes. Garnish as desired (dried raspberry and cranberry, etc...) |
