Software Engineer (Canada and North East Practice Unit) 
*	Working on a critical project for ING North America. The project is a $660,000 a year 
maintenance assignment and we are a team of 6 people. Job is maintaining a highly 
complex system involving COBOL, JCL and Flat Files and fast assumed position of 
responsibility. Work involves large amount of system analysis, bug fixes, major and 
minor enhancements for a reporting system. I do the Scope analysis, Estimation, 
Impact Analysis, Design, Coding and Testing for the System Service Requests.  I am 
also the Configuration Controller (CC) and the KM (Knowledge Management) 
Coordinator for this project. Also, I am a part of the production support for quarter 
end activities. Used utilities like Endevor / SCL, SECOMP, Projcl utilities and others. 
Developed tools for the project in Extra Basic and REXX which were highly 
appreciated by the client.

Summer 2002: Worked in the Speech Lab, Language Technologies and Research Centre 
(LTRC) at IIIT, Hyderabad and contributed towards developing a speech synthesizer for 
limited domain for Hindi. This work has now been ported to Simputer.

systems for Network Management and Control and Office Automation. Developed a system 
for metrics collection for software process tools that was appreciated in the company's

owned emporium, Phulkari.
?	Worked in development of a youth portal, LoveChandigarh.com, running successfully 
now with a large no of daily hits and registered subscribers.

local finance company.

?	Developed a primitive decoder / player for the music and streaming format (.ogg), 
which uses vorbis encoding in VC++.
?	Developed a simulator for the Data Link Protocols in C using GTK+ for the front-end.
?	Developed a primitive LAN - troubleshooting expert system using the CLIPS.
?	Developed an assembler for 8085 microprocessor using C++ under Linux.
?	Developed a primitive assembler for 8086 microprocessor using C, worked primarily 
on a front end using GTK+.
?	Developed a Graphics Editor, SWASTIKA, on lines of the Windows Paint Brush as a 
semester project using VC++.
?	Developed an interpreter, GPI (GNU Parser and Interpreter), for a fictitious language 
as a semester project using C++.
?	Developed a project, CMBP, simulating processes in a Bank, as a semester project 
using C++.
