Skot sent a copy of his remix to the composer of ZOMBIE PROM, Dana P. Rowe.  Dana was so impressed with Skot's work that he asked Skot if he would mind if I put it on the website.  Here's Skot's letter and sound files that you can download and listen to yourself!

Dear Dana,
This is the remix I was talking about.  For the most part, I pieced different songs from the musical over the beat to "Case Closed: TRIO".  At a breakdown in the song, "Ain't no going back", the beat changes a little, and that was my little musical interlude.

The idea to do the remix came when the band began to play "Case Closed: TRIO" after a rehearsal.  Everybody began dancing around and I thought, "Wow...This is my chance to be Puff Daddy!"  So I went home and started messing around with my Yamaha MT-50 four-track, drum machine, and keyboard.

The next day (our closing night) I asked the cast if they'd come to my house after school to help me with the song.  They agreed and we put the vocals down.  At our final performance, after everyone had done their bows, our sound man started playing the remix.  Everybody started dancing.  The cast, stage hands, audience, and even the directors.  That night at the cast party, we played it constantly.  I'll always remember that night as one of the best in my High School career.

Here's a list of who's who:
Jonny:  Alec Stephens III
Toffee:  Clara Rietz
Ms. Strict:  Claire Wilmoth
Eddie:  Nathan BP
Chorus, programming and arrangement:  Skot Suyama

Thank you for your time and for making music that I dream of composing someday.  I think if you gave a copy of the ZOMBIE PROM CD to a radio station, "Forbidden Love" and "How Can I Say Good-bye" would be huge hits.

Please let me know what you think of the song.

Sincerely,
Skot Suyama
