Black and White 2The factsAbout now you might have heard some stuf about what will and what will not be in the game. Depending on what you've heard, some of it might be true and some might be based on rumors or simply be false. In here you can find out which is the case. I present to you... The facts Click to see what we know about: - Creatures - Village(r)s - Miracles CreaturesNot so long ago the word got out that there only were 5 creatures. Three of them were already decided and the other 2 were chosen by the public in a poll. Now however it's been announced that there will be 9 instead of 5, why isn't really clear, but hey, who's complaining. Lionhead wanted more variety in the creatures, which means they didn't want as many creatures that all looked the same like the polar bear and brown bear or all of the cats. 2 of these creatures were chosen in a poll. The other creatures are yet to be released but a good candidate and my personal favorite is the stag. There have been a lot of complaints that in the original game the system to let your creature know what he did right or wrong was flawed. So now when you interact with him you'll see a small menu wich displays the last few actions made by your creature. This way you'll always be praising him for the correct action. Your creature, with enhanced AI ofcourse, is now able to play the role of general in your army, he can be thought different manouvres such as a scissor where he trappes the opponent's army between it's own. This makes your creature more important than ever. Your creature will also have the ability to know when to perform a certain move. For instance, when he wants to attack an army that's on top of a hill, simply doing a direct attack would result in tremendous losses so he would have to find another way of defeating the enemy. All of this, and more, can be tought to your creature. Just check out this picture (still have to upload it, be patient ;)) Well, they do! Just check this out... Click here Back to the top Village(r)sThis game focusses on the art of war. And in this war you will need a resource with which you can create ways to attack and defence. Obviously this resource is ore. Ore will be a finite resource. This was done to prevent players from winning merely because they have bigger armies than the enemy. It is unknown if there will be an ore miracle. Walls are made out of ore. In the previous game, when you had a village of 300 villagers you had a very big village. In this game however getting big villages is a must when you're a good god so villages with a couple of thousand villagers won't be an exception. In B&W2 the existing races are the Norse, Japanese, Aztec, Egyptian and Greek. Now all races have their own clothes but more importantly, they all have their own weapons. This will make for great effects in battle. From now on your creature will rest at the vilage centers and people will be able to pray there as well. With each diferent wonder you build you can use a different epic miracle. For more information on epic miracles look below at 'miracles'. Back to the top MiraclesApart from the normal miracles, like rain, fireball and heal, a new kind of miracles has been introduced. These are called 'epic miracles'. They're much more impressive and effective then normal miracles. They also have the ability to change the landscape. There are, in total, 6 different epic miracles, 3 good and 3 evil. We know 3 of them, the volcano and earthquake (evil) and the siren (good). For instance, when you create a fireball, you can squeeze it with your hand and make little drips of water which can make a small river of lava. Back to the top WarIf you have been following the progress of Black and White 2, you have surely heard about the biggest new feature in the game, war! From now on you don't fight the enemy god with just your creature and a few miracles but with your villagers, you'll have a quite a few villagers so believe me when I say that the battles hsould be quite impressive.
