Offcourse they couldn't make an add-on that focusses primarily on your creature without scripting some new stuf for your creature to learn. This means that there are a few new miracles like the 'speed miracle' (speeds up your creature) and now your creature will learn how to build thing. He won't be able to create blueprints but when you've placed a scaffold on the ground and started building it, he can finish it in an instant (if there's enough wood provided).
Besides all this, there are also a few new creatures in the game.These are the chicken, the crocodile and the rhino, although was available in B&W through a hack.
There are not yet definate stats for these creatures but here are some vague ones that may help you decide which to take.
The chicken: Extremely smart, even smarter than the ape, but weak.
The rhino: Never played this one but I know he's strong. Can't tell you anything about his intelligence though.
The crocodile: Also never played this one but I heard from other players that he is a bad fighter. He has a very short reach (due to his short arms) and it's hard to get in a good combo with him.
