Austrian Army Briefing:

April 22nd 1809.  Two weeks ago you invaded Bavaria with the intention of defeating the gathering French army piecemeal.  Your first target Davout's third Corps eluded you at Tengen and Hausen 4 days ago.  Two days ago Napoleon threw his army at yours and split it in two.  He then took the majority of his forces and pursued the weaker half of your army southward (believing it to be the larger force).  Last night you finally cleared Regensburg of French troops and began shuttling troops from the North side of the Danube towards your HQ at Eckmuhl.  Your scouts have told you that remaining part of the French army under Davout is moving North evidently to defeat what Napoleon thinks is the smaller part of the your army.  You have three and a half corps available facing some very good French and some Bavarians.  A decisive defeat against Davout will gut the best troops in the French army and place you in Napoleon's rear sitting astride his lines of communications.  Your chance for great glory has finally come.

You may deploy as you wish North of the Grosse Laaber and East of your deployment line.

 Victory Conditions:

The winner is the side that has the most unexhausted divisions.

Terrain Notes: The terrain for this part of Germany is rolling hills.  All the slopes are very gradual and the hills have a height of no more than 100 feet.  The forests have small thick patches but are generally open to movement within the scope of V&B.    There are several cases where woods in the area were charged through by cavalry and/or had artillery move through them.  The woods are open.  All streams are marshy banked and the light green underlay around the Grosse Laaber shows its extra wide marshy area i.e. the area where units stay disordered.
