| the grifith observatory was the most beutiful place from outside it you could see all of losangeles and in the inside there was a giant pendulumn with alot of exzibits that were verry old the floors were yellowing and the place had a verry distinct odor the only way to discribe it is "library book and garage" two of my favorite bands had photo shoots at the grifith observatory the pixies and the doors it was a losangeles landmark and it just was for so many years ! i hope they dont mess it up with some modern looking grey and kelly green colored lenoleum tiles when it reopens i know they will it will never be the same the iron doors the statue in front and that old masking tape smell the view of losangeles city lights it was so nice & special feeling ========------==========--------=== around ucla at night in royce hall brass and bones sounds walk with you the yellow streetlamps against the ivy and trees with a full moon above sourounded by trees and old brick open planned space subtle sounds of bugs or lamps buzzing all around the dark and yellow hills of losangeles @ occidental college too were you are trees everywere and bricks eucalyptus trees old dorms ahh l.a night and the La day of ameoba records hmm i miss you and losangeles ------------------------------------------- here is beige stucco here is no difference from one town to the next here is no art ! nothing really old enough to be classy here is just take the bus and drone on grey and beige with the pale piss yellow of an alleywall the streets turn grey and theyre repaved forgotten constantly new constantly in a gated comunity my perents set a security alarm someone opens a window and the cops come with helicopters go outside to get an otterpop or a frozen chickenpatty and the whole damn house goes off ah... my lawn gnomes just not enough to keep this neiborhood cool anymore ------------------------------------------------ we got lost in santa monica once after seeing the diane arbus exibit at lacma and we saw neon lights and old buildings with the smell of losangeles night fresh alive |
