1st Runner-Up at the Miss Universe 2001 National Costume Show at the Luis A. Ferre Performing Arts Center in Santurce, Puerto Rico. With her are Miss Korea 2001, Sa-Lang Kim , the Winner; and Miss Honduras 2001, Olenka Miroslava Fuschich, 2nd Runner-Up. Zorayda's national costume was inspired by the heroine 'Maria Clara' in Jose Rizal's novel 'Noli Me Tangere'. The dress is a perfect fit for Miss Philippines.
