Quentin was born in "Avalon", a hidden city supposedly "beyond the clouds". He was very lucky to be born in such a place, as his parents were only from Sosaria, a now war thirsty along the west coast of the continent of Gratalm.

     He grew up happily there, never knowing of his parents, who were killed mayhaps a little more than a year after his birth. He was brought to Avalon by Lance, a long-time family friend. Lance lived with Quentin much like a father until Quentin was 14, when Lance considered Quentin old enough to know the truth. Quentin, vewry shocked, began studying as a Mage, hoping to one day avenge his parents.

     By the time he was fifteen, he bid Lance farewell, holding back his love for his only companion in all his life, wanting to leave alone, which he now regrets...


     He set out for Sosaria and after a short time, nearly three months, he arrived to find himself in the middle of a war. He asked around the village, and soon he found his parents' old house, still standing and abandoned. Inside he found his mother's old diary, from which he learned a great deal.

     Now even more determined to find the one responsible for their deaths,  he went to a local bar to get information and help. He found little of either, so he left Sosaria, feeling a failure. He has put his past behind him, for now, but someday he hopes to become a powerful Dimension Wizard and return to avenge his parents.

He now finds himself drawn to Gate City by the vision of a large, yet timid looking man in hopes that he knows something of his parents...
