Led Zeppelin returned to the stage after exactly two years sounding pretty dated. Two shows in Copenhagen were used as warm-ups for their highly publicized Knebworth dates and these 1979 shows marked the last time several songs were played live. Among the notable things here are the less-than-spectacular returns of numbers like 'Celebration Day' and 'Misty Mountain Hop,' the longer guitar solo in 'Since I've Been Loving You,' and the shorter overall arrangement of 'No Quarter' (with Jones playing only electric piano). They also featured some new material from In Through the Out Door, which was supposed to have been released by the time of the shows—both ‘Hot Dog’ and ‘In the Evening’ (preceded by a shorter Page guitar solo similar to those in 1977) are played here for the first time. The concerts is decent, although I somehow doubt it was unrehearsed like legend says—a few of the songs were performed for the first time in several years and most likely had to have been practiced first.
